As an environmentally conscious company, EKERLER Kağıt Torba ve Poşet Ambalaj San. ve Tic. A.Ş. places paramount importance on continuously improving our products, the materials we source, and our production processes. We achieve this by strictly adhering to the 3R principle: Renew, Recycle, and Reduce.

• Renew: We utilize FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council®) certified products and strongly prefer that all our paper suppliers hold FSC or SFI (Sustainable Forestry Initiative) certifications.
• Recycle: We ensure that all liquid waste generated during production is treated and recycled through the K.O.S. Wastewater Treatment Plant. Furthermore, our waste paper is safely processed and recycled by licensed recycling firms.
• Reduce: To minimize our carbon footprint, we have integrated translucent roofing, rainwater harvesting systems, and energy-efficient lighting into our facilities, thereby significantly reducing our overall energy consumption.

In addition to our core 3R principles, we carry out our operations with a deep sense of responsibility toward nature and public health:

• Zero Waste Management: As a Zero Waste Certified company, we systematically dispose of all our waste in full compliance with legal regulations, operating within a structured system designed to ensure zero environmental pollution.
• Safe and Natural Materials: In strict accordance with international food safety standards, we exclusively use water-based inks and natural starch-based adhesives.
• Continuous Auditing: We conduct comprehensive environmental audits at our factory on an annual basis. Any potential adverse impacts identified during these audits are promptly addressed and rectified in close consultation with environmental experts.
• Emission-Free Equipment: As a food packaging company, we prioritize the use of electrically powered lifting equipment across our operations to guarantee that our products remain entirely unaffected by fuel emissions.
• Green Transition: We actively support the Green Transition within the industrial sector and recognize the utilization of renewable energy sources as one of our primary objectives.
• Corporate Awareness: To mitigate the impacts of climate change, we have established the EKERLER Academy. Through this initiative, we provide ongoing training to raise awareness and foster the active environmental contribution of all our personnel.
